How can a Maternity Nanny help you?
A Maternity Nanny is responsible for the day to day care of the newborn baby taking sole/shared charge with the mother performing all “Nursery Duties” which include preparing bottles, cooking babies meals and sterilizing bottles and nursery equipment.
Maternity Nannies often start a position working 24/6 and then reduce hours to 12 hours per day once the baby is sleeping through the night, but remain on 24 “on call”.
They usually have extensive experience as a nanny for newborns or as a Maternity Nurse. The Maternity Nanny usually holds an NNEB or BTEC diploma which requires two years of study; they might also hold Maternity Nurse related qualification such MNT or NEST.
Salary Guide
Maternity Nanny staring salaries are £ GBP 700 net per week and upwards to £ GBP 1400 net per week in accordance to qualifications/experience and previous salaries acquired. Room and board (or separate accommodation) to be provided by the family.
